MISSION STATEMENT ...

The ENU is an interdisciplinary intercultural institution with the objective to prepare adults for the challenges of an ever changing world, whereby its philosophy is guided by the concepts of universalism, pluralism, uniqueness of the individual, and the individualisation of learning through a methodological scientific focus on theory and transfer of practice.

We welcome mature students and value them not just for their enthusiasm, but also for their experience and competencies. Because of this, course admission requirements are flexible and for many courses, a range of qualifications will be considered.

The ENU was founded due to a private initiative and has been guided by the belief of the founders that amid a constantly changing globalisation and proceeding European integration, perspectives must be created for all citizens and their environments to prepare them successfully to deal with the diverse situations of change, migration, and integration into complex environments, and to develop transfer abilities through the achievement of intercultural competencies for the purpose of increased mobility and integration within an united Europe.

It is the purpose of the University to pursue science and research, to disseminate knowledge, open mind, cultivate character and equip each student for a life of leadership culture in a common sense of universal understanding. The University assumes that it is essential to offer educational opportunity within a context of free inquiry and academic integrity that encourages individual integrity and responsibility and contributes to the resolution of intellectual challenges in accordance with social and ethical implications.
